The invention relates to a heat exchanger for a motor vehicle, comprising a collector (1) extending in a longitudinal direction and having a bottom (8) and a collector box (7), at least two connections (2, 3) provided in the collector box (7) for feeding and draining a fluid, a plurality of exchange tubes (4) ending in the bottom (8) of the collector (1), and a separator wall (9) separating the collector (1) into a first partial chamber on the inlet side and a second partial chamber on the outlet side (1a, 1b), wherein the separating wall (9) adjoins the bottom (8) while dividing the bottom substantially symmetrically along a center line (M) running in the longitudinal direction, and wherein the separating wall (9) comprises a projection (10, 11) above the bottom (8), wherein at least one of the centers of the two connections (2, 3) has an offset (V) relative to the center line (M).
