The invention relates to a digital audio time-domain compression method based on music characteristics, belonging to the technical field of audio processing. The method comprises the following steps: extracting audio and lyric characteristics of music, analyzing and acquiring compression resistance values of all audio clips in the music, and carrying out different degrees of time-domain compression on the audio clips in the digital audio of the music according to the compression resistance values, thereby changing the play time of the music. In the method, the audio, lyric and other characteristics of music are extracted to compute the compression resistance values of all the audio clips in the digital audio of the music, so that the reduction degrees of play quality of the audio clips after time-domain compression can be accurately described. When carrying out time-domain compression on the digital audio, the time reduction amount of time-domain compression is firstly allocated to the audio clip with high compression resistance according to the magnitude of the compression resistance values, thereby reducing the time reduction amount of the audio clip with low compression resistance, effectively lowering the influence of time-domain compression on the quality of the whole music and enhancing the play quality of the music after time-domain compression.
