The invention discloses an endless member drive apparatus and an image forming apparatus. The endless member rotation drive apparatus includes: an endless member that rotates by receiving drive force; a drive support member that supports and drives the endless member; a rotatable support member that supports the endless member and is rotated along with the rotation of the endless member; a supporting body for supporting the rotatable support member to be able to be moved in the shaft direction of the rotatable support member and also able to be rocked in the direction intersecting the shaft direction, elastic members whose outer shapes are varied based on the movement of the rotatable support member in the shaft direction along with the deviation of the endless member. By having the outer shapes of the elastic members varied, the rotatable support member is rocked in the direction for correcting the deviation in the endless member.
