The invention discloses a twelve pulsating commutation transformer and a method and a circuit for removing residual magnetism thereof. In the principle of the method, direct current is injected sequentially in a positive direction and a reverse direction according to wiring during a test of a direct-current resistor and is reduced gradually, and a magnetic-lag loop of an iron core is reduced to achieve the aim of removing the residual magnetism. Through the method, the commutation transformer can run reliably, and the long-term, safe and stable operation of a high-voltage direct-current transmission system is realized; and the method has the advantages of simple and easy implementation, reliable demagnetizing and capability of preventing malfunction from generating.
