The invention relates to an improved method for reducing influence of multiple paths on accurate estimation to direct path delay by utilizing a frequency domain transfer function obtained by dividing a receipt signal frequency spectrum by a local paseudorandom spreading code frequency spectrum. In order to overcome the influence of singular value sand noise on obtaining the transfer function by frequency domain division, frequency domain data smoothing is carried out firstly; and then, data near the singular-value points are deleted, and interpolation is carried out by using nonsingular values near the singular-value points to obtain the data near the singular values. In order to overcome the defect that the resolution of Fourier transform is determined by a receipt signal sampling rate, a strongest direct path signal and corresponding delay are researched to obtain an accurate delay value of the direct path signal by the reference data of a local paseudorandom spreading code producing a high sampling rate, wherein the delay value is an accurate correction value to the time position of the local paseudorandom spreading code, which is locked by a code phaselocked loop of a receiver, and the correction value is zero in absence of multipath signals, that is to say, a final accurate direct path delay is an algebraic sum of delay locked by the locking loop of an original code and the accurate time correction value.
