本发明提供一种横编机，其即使在按压选针片的压脚的压针板中也不设置切换增圈专用的可动式的压针板，能够可靠地切换导针片的路径。当设定成在A位置只使后行侧的集圈压针板(41a)作用、成圈压针板(23a)不作用时，能够切换利用对A位置的选针的成圈和利用对H位置的选针的增圈。当将成圈压针板(23a)切换为作用，也使先行侧的集圈压针板(41b)作用时，通过对H位置的选针，不进行增圈，并且能够切换为集圈。

A weft knitting machine which can switch the course of a slider surely without providing a movable presser used exclusively for extra palm in the pressers for pressing the butt of a select jack. When only a tuck presser (41a) on the following side is made to act on a position A and a knit presser (23a) is set to nonaction, knit by needle selection at the position A and extra palm by needle selection at a position H can be switched. When the knit presser (23a) is switched to action and a tuck presser (41b) on the preceding side is also made to act, extra palm by needle selection at the position H is not performed and switching can be made to tuck.
