本发明的高分子稳定化液晶组合物具有以下构成：对于低分子液晶化合物，添加手性化合物以及聚合性丙烯酸酯化合物，所述聚合性丙烯酸酯化合物为特定的丙烯酸酯和聚合性液晶化合物。一边使该高分子稳定化液晶组合物维持在希望的取向状态一边进行紫外线曝光，使聚合性化合物聚合而在液晶相中形成高分子链，从而可以得到将低分子液晶的取向状态稳定化的高分子稳定化液晶显示元件。该高分子稳定化液晶显示元件的驱动电压低，能够抑制驱动电压的温度变化。

A polymer-stabilized liquid crystal composition prepared by adding a chiral compound and a polymerizable acrylate component consisting of both a specific acrylate and a polymerizable liquid crystal compound to a low-molecular liquid crystal compound. A polymer-stabilized liquid crystal display stabilized in the alignment of a low-molecular liquid crystal can be obtained by exposing the polymer-stabilized liquid crystal composition to ultraviolet light with the composition kept in a desired aligned state to polymerize the polymerizable acrylate component and thus form a polymer chain in the liquid crystal phase. The liquid crystal display exhibits a low driving voltage and is suppressed in the dependence of driving voltage on temperature.
