The invention provides a method for inducing the cytotoxic T lymphocytes with the antigen specific cell killing activity, a method for maintaining the T lymphocytes, a method for continuously culturing the T lymphocytes, and a method for culturing the T lymphocytes in a large scale. The method comprises steps for culturing the cytotoxic T lymphocytes in presence of at least a substance selected from (A) to (E): (A) a substance with CD44 binding activity; (B) a substance capable of regulating the binding of CD44 ligand and CD 44 to excite signals; (C) a substance capable of preventing the binding of the growth factor and the growth factor receptor; (D) a substance capable of regulating the binding of the growth factor and the growth factor receptor to excite signals; and (E) fibronectin, its segments or mixture.
