The invention relates to a natural serum substitute for culturing animal cells in the field of biotechnology, which is characterized in that extracts are derived from poultry eggs including fresh eggs and unshaped embryos, livestock placentas and domesticated insect larvae, and the three types of the extracts can be applied singly or applied together. The natural serum substitute has a wide source range and low cost, and is suitable for culturing conventional cells in particular for application in industrial fermentations.
