A heat accumulation system for a vehicle, having a heat accumulator (3) in which engine coolant is contained and through which the engine coolant flows. The heat accumulator (3) is provided in an engine coolant circulation circuit for interconnecting an engine (1) and a heater core (2) of an air conditioner unit. The engine coolant circulation circuit is a circuit formed by connecting heat accumulator (3) side entrance and exit openings, engine (1) side entrance and exit openings, and heater core (2) side entrance and exit openings. Switching over of a valve in the circuit enables selection between four modes that are a ''heat accumulation mode'', a ''heat accumulation maintaining mode'', a ''quick engine warm-up mode'', and a ''quick interior warm-up mode''.
