The invention claims a valve structure of an internal combustion engine which can compactly arrange a water pump in a camshaft having a decompressing device in order to realize the miniaturization of cylinder cover. The valve structure includes a camshaft (53), an engine valve (56e) that opens or closes by a valve cam arranged in the camshaft, and a decompressing device (100), a decompressing counterweight (101) of the decompressing cam (105) coming in and going out a cam surface of the valve cam (53e) can be shaft-supported in an end portion or in the vicinity of an end portion of the camshaft (53) in an oscillating way; a water pump (120) is arranged in an end portion of the camshaft (53) in the opposite side of the decompressing counterweight (101) in the axial direction.
