An irreversible circuit element which can improve isolation characteristic without increasing insertion loss. The irreversible circuit element comprises a ferrite (32) to which a DC field is applied by a permanent magnet, a first center electrode (35) and a second center electrode (36) which are arranged for the ferrite (32). An end of the first center electrode (35) is connected to an input port (P1) and the other end thereof is connected to an output port (P2). An end of the second center electrode (36) is connected to the output port (P2) and the other end thereof is connected to the ground port (P3). Between the input port (P1) and the output port (P2), a matching capacitor (C1) is connected, a resistor (R1) is connected, and an inductor (L3) and a capacitor (C3) constituting an LC resonance circuit are connected in series with the resistor (R1).
