In a pneumatic tire (1), main grooves (21, 22) extending in the circumferential direction of a tire and at least four ribs (31 to 33) defined by these main grooves (21, 22) are formed on a tread part. The main groove at the outermost side in the width direction of the tire among the main grooves (21, 22) is called the outer main groove (22). The sipes (311 to 332) opening to both edges of each ofthe ribs (31 to 33) are called the open sipes. The sipes (323, 333) opening to only one edge of each of the ribs (31 to 33) are called the multi-sipes. The open sipes (311 to 332) are formed in all the ribs (31 to 33), respectively. The multi-sipes (323, 333) are so formed only in the ribs (32, 33) holding the outer main groove (22) as to be arranged along the edges of the ribs (32, 33).
