A dome camera (1A) has a camera (2), a base (4A), and a dome cover (5). The base (4A) has a reference surface (P1) and a cover support surface (P2) tilted relative to the reference surface (P1). The dome cover (5) is constructed by joining a semispherical cover (9) and a partially spherical cover (10) at a joint surface (P3). A supported surface (P4) of the partially spherical cover (10) is supported by the cover support surface (P2) of the base.The camera (2) is placed so that its optical axis (X1) passes the spherical center (C). The dome cover (5) is supported so as to be pivotable on the cover support surface (P2) about the pivot axis (X2) passing the spherical center (C). The construction enables adjustment of the orientation of the visual range of the camera.
