Provided is a waveguide coupler for enhancing electric characteristics and productivity. The waveguide coupler (10) comprises four ports (1, 2, 3, 4), and grooves (21, 22, 23, 24) extending along the wall of the waveguides in the vicinity of the joint. The grooves (21, 22) are formed along the inner wall and the grooves (23, 24) are formed along the outer wall. Since the groves formed along the wall of the waveguide exhibits a function equivalent to that of a ridge existing in the vicinity of joint, the band can be widened for various frequency characteristics and electric characteristics can be enhanced in various kinds of frequency menu. Since grooving exhibits better manufacturing workability than making a ridge and grooving method is increased, cost performance and productivity are enhanced.
