The invention relates to a hook system of a sewing machine, comprising a hook (12) provided with a spindle shell (22), as well as a spindle shell lifter (33); wherein the spindle shell lifter (33) comprises a lifter rod (32) placed against a lifter cam (31) of a spindle shell (21) and a sensor (37) contacted with a control curved part (39) which is driven to rotate around the axial line (13) of the hook (12); the spindle shell lifter (33) is arranged to pivot around an axial line (35) which is vertical to the axial line (13) of the hook (12); the axial distance between the control curved part(39) and the axial line (13) of the hook (12) is variable to be adapted to the deflexion of the sensor (37) in the direction of the axial line (13) of the hook (12).
