The invention relates to a workpiece cutting method utilizing a band-saw machine with an endless band-saw blade and a band-saw machine used in the method. The workpiece cutting method utilizing a band-saw machine comprises that the band-saw blade guides have vibration applying units; the band-saw blade guides guide tooth tips on the endless band-saw blade of the band-saw machine toward a workpiece to be cut; when vibration applying units apply vibrations to the band-saw blade in a cutting direction with respect to the workpiece and cut the said workpiece, the amplitude of the vibrations of the band-saw blade in the cutting direction is in a range from about 0.03 to 0.5 mm, and the frequency of the vibrations is in a range from several Hz to several hundred Hz.
