The invention provides a manufacturing method for tin powder used for producing organic tin. The invention adopts a high pressure water atomization method which includes as follows: adopting a middle frequency stainless steel heating tube of 15kW to melt metal tin ingot in a carbon steel container; discharging the molten metal tin from the carbon steel container to a cold water trough; starting a water-cannon arranged near a leak hole when the temperature of the molten tin reaches 241DEG C to 320 DEG C, atomizing the molten tin into the tin powder by utilizing the ejective water flow and adjusting the pressure of the water flow to control the sizes of the particles of the tin powder and the pressure of the water flow is 1MPa to 3MPa; with the spraying of the high pressure water flow, directly arranging the tin powder adjusted to a proper number into the cold water trough and obtaining the 10 to 50 meshes of tin powder used for producing organic tin after cooling and drying. Compared with the prior art, the manufacturing method for tin powder used for producing organic tin has the advantages of low temperature of the molten tin, few energy consumption, simple technique, lower production cost, etc. The produced tin powder has regular shapes and good quality and can completely meet the requirements for the tin powder used for producing organic tin.
