The invention relates to a formula for producing E glass, which adopts boron magnesium calcium pulverized powder to replace fluorite as composite fluxing agent. The main compositions by weight portion of the technological formula are: 50 to 60 portions of silicon dioxide, 0 to 20 portions of aluminum sesquioxide, 2 to 7 portions of boron sesquioxide, 15 to 25 portions of calcium oxide, 0.2 to 4 portions of magnesia and 0.1 to 0.3 portion of fluorine, wherein, the content of sodium oxide and potassium oxide is less than 0.70. By adoption of the E glass manufacturing technique, the amount of the fluorite during the producing procedure is greatly reduced and the fluorine content in exhaust gas is greatly reduced, thereby the environmental pollution is reduced; simultaneously the content of fluorine element in the glass is reduced, the strength of glass fibers is improved and further the quality of the glass is improved; and the temperature in a furnace is reduced, the service life of thefurnace is increased and the expenditure is saved for enterprises.
