The invention discloses a method which can search for a stable path in a wireless ad hoc network. The prior wireless ad hoc network cannot search out the path with the best stability carry out the communication. In order to solve the above problem, the method of the invention, which can search for the stable path in the wireless ad hoc network, comprises the following steps: firstly, a source node constructs routing discovery information, which is sent out to neighbor nodes through local multicast, and the quantity of the neighbor nodes is more than one but not totally; secondly, the neighbor nodes transmit the routing discovery information to the neighbor nodes thereof with the quantity being more than one but not totally until reaching the destination node of the routing discovery information; thirdly, the destination node of the routing discovery information selects the path which has the best stability from the paths which transmit the routing discovery information and then sends out routing confirming information to the source node, and a communication connection is established between the source node and the destination node. The invention is applicable to the wireless ad hoc network.
