The invention relates to an application device (1) for applying a coating medium, especially brushing paint, in a plurality of layers on a running surface. According to the invention, the application device comprises a plurality of curtain heads (21, 22, 23,24) which are arranged at random distances in relation to each other, and downwardly dispense coating media or paints. Said device also comprises an inclined guiding surface (3) that displaces the layers of paint on the running surface, on the end part of the incline (3s), as a result of the lamination of the coating media or paints (t1, t2, t3, t4) which are successively dispensed from each curtain head (21, 22, 23, 24) along the incline (3s), in order to form the plurality of layers of coating medium or paint and also to form a paintcurtain (tc) from a downwardly oriented curtain guiding part (3g).
