To provide a work machine comprising a starter for starting a prime mover from the pressure oil in a hydraulic actuator for driving a front work machine can be drained without providing a special hydraulic apparatus. The work machine comprises a boom cylinder (34) for driving a front work machine (35), a flow control valve (8) for controlling the flow of the pressure oil supplied to the boom cylinder (34), and a pilot valve (11) driven by an engine (1) and outputting a pilot operation signal for switching the flow control valve (8) using the pressure oil delivered from a pilot hydraulic pump (10) as the primary pressure.
