The stack of sheets is in contact with a sloping surface and the top sheet is driven to ride up this surface by a set of patterned rollers (58) on a single shaft (56). An electric motor (50) has a worm (52) driving a worm wheel (54) on the shaft. The sheet pusher (22) is mounted on a hinge (24) at right-angles to the axis of the roller. The hinge is at the end of a swing arm (18) with a hinge (20) on a fixed mounting (16). A spring-loaded mounting (40-44) for the sheet pusher may allow some sideways movement of the rollers.
